🍌 Feeding a Baby Marmoset
Marmosets grow quickly and need a nutrient-rich diet to support their development.

- Transition stage (2–3 months): Introduce mashed fruits (bananas, papayas, mangoes) and soft foods.
- Juvenile diet (3+ months): Mix fruits, insects (mealworms, crickets), boiled eggs, and small protein servings.
- Supplements: Add calcium and vitamin D3 powder 2–3 times per week.
Avoid high-sugar fruits and processed foods — they can lead to obesity and dental problems.
🏡 Housing & Environment
Marmosets are active climbers and thrive in vertical spaces with plenty of enrichment.
- Cage size: Minimum 5x5x7 feet with multiple levels and branches.
- Temperature: Keep between 80–90°F with consistent humidity.
- Lighting: Provide 12 hours of light daily and UVB exposure for bone health.
- Enrichment: Include ropes, swings, small perches, and chew toys.
- Sleeping space: Use a soft pouch or nest box high in the enclosure.
Regularly rotate toys and rearrange the habitat to keep your baby marmoset engaged and happy.

Marmosets form deep emotional connections and depend heavily on social interaction.
- Hold and cuddle your baby daily to build trust.
- Carry them in a bonding pouch close to your body — warmth and scent strengthen attachment.
- Talk gently and maintain eye contact to reassure them.
- Introduce other family members slowly and calmly.
If possible, adopt in pairs, as marmosets are naturally social and happiest with companionship.
